In a chilling display of religious extremism, a lone Hindu family residing in the predominantly Muslim area of Janpad Basti, Uttar Pradesh, faced horrifying threats from local radical Islamists. The family endured coercion to convert to Islam, accompanied by gruesome threats of dismemberment and obliteration should they refuse.

The harrowing ordeal unfolded on March 26 when a Hindu woman from the family ventured out to purchase groceries, only to be surrounded by a mob of approximately 30-35 Islamists. With chilling resolve, they issued ultimatums, demanding conversion to Islam under the threat of violence.

Amidst the terror, the woman was subjected to molestation and verbal abuse as she bravely protested against the coercion. Fleeing to the safety of her home, she found no respite as the mob pursued, hurling stones and bricks at her residence.

The terrified victim, fearing for the safety of her family, demanded justice in the face of such heinous acts. Responding to the outcry, the Basti Police assured prompt investigation and strict action against the perpetrators.

This distressing incident adds to a concerning pattern of violence targeting Hindus by radical elements, underscoring the urgent need for concerted efforts to uphold communal harmony and ensure the safety of all citizens.
