Hindu Man Abducted, Robbed, and Coerced to Chant “Allahu Akbar” [Gurugram, Haryana]

A horrifying incident unfolded in Gurugram, Haryana, where Adarsh Trivedi, a Hindu man, was subjected to a terrifying ordeal while en route to celebrate Holi with his family in Auraiya. Boarding a cab from Iffco Chowk to Anand Vihar, Trivedi’s journey took a harrowing turn when the cab driver deviated from the route, leading to a nightmarish experience.

Trivedi found himself assaulted and robbed by four Islamist youths who were also passengers in the cab. They forcibly extracted money from him, robbed him of his belongings, and subjected him to physical assault. In a chilling display of religious bigotry, they coerced him into chanting “Allahu Akbar,” adding a layer of religious persecution to the already traumatic experience.

The assailants further subjected Trivedi to financial extortion, demanding a hefty sum from his family for his safe return. They left him abandoned near Kheda Jhanjeri after five hours of captivity, leaving him deeply traumatized.

Trivedi bravely filed a complaint with the Sector 17/18 police station, leading to the registration of an FIR and an ongoing investigation. The incident highlights the urgent need for enhanced security measures and vigilance to protect individuals from such appalling acts of violence and extortion.
