In a disturbing display of religious intolerance, an elderly Hindu woman named Pratibha Rani fell victim to a vicious attack by an Islamist individual in Natehra village, located under Barakul Union of Hajiganj Upazila in Chandpur district, Bangladesh. According to reports, on the 19th of March, Pratibha Rani was at the market, engaging in her usual practice of chewing betel leaf. When Pratibha Rani refused to comply with his demands, Nurul Amin flew into a rage and launched a brutal assault on her.

Brandishing a bamboo stick, Nurul Amin subjected Pratibha Rani to merciless beatings, resulting in severe injuries that left her hands and legs swollen. Subsequently, she was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention, where she remains under treatment.
