A distressing narrative unfolds in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, where a 27-year-old Hindu woman from Taraganj bravely steps forward with allegations of coercion, blackmail, and religious intimidation against Islamist Sabir Khan. What began as a purported friendship spiraled into a nightmarish ordeal spanning over three years, characterized by captivity, physical and sexual assault, and relentless pressure to convert to Islam.

According to reports from OpIndia, the victim recounts Sabir Khan’s sinister tactics, including threats of implicating her family in a suicide note and subjecting her to physical harm if she resisted his advances or attempted to leave. Forcibly confined and subjected to sexual harassment, the victim endured daily pressure to convert to Islam, compounded by coercion to consume beef against her religious beliefs.

Subsequent to being subjected to sexual harassment at the Ramaji culvert (Puliya) in Bahodapur, the victim found herself forcibly confined by Khan, his family members complicit in her abuse. Khan’s demands for conversion to Islam, backed by threats and physical violence, created an atmosphere of terror for the victim, prompting her to seek refuge with the Bajrang Dal.

The timely intervention of the Bajrang Dal led to the filing of a case against the accused Islamist at the Bahodapur police station on April 26, 2024. As investigations proceed and efforts to apprehend the accused intensify, demands for stringent legal action reverberate, highlighting the urgent need to address instances of religious coercion and sexual assault.

Amidst the outcry for justice, the resilience of the victim and the swift action of organizations like the Bajrang Dal serve as beacons of hope in the fight against Islamist manipulation and abuse. Yet, the plight of Hindu girls continues to underscore the pervasive threat posed by Islamist predators, underscoring the ongoing struggle to safeguard the rights and dignity of vulnerable individuals in society.
