In a troubling incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Mohammad Faizan has been apprehended by authorities following allegations of rape and coercion for religious conversion. The accused, originally from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, is accused of exploiting a Hindu woman under the guise of marriage and subsequently pressuring her to convert to Islam.

According to reports, Faizan, employed as a team leader at Teleperformance Company, initially assisted the victim, a 37-year-old woman, in securing employment in various cities including Jaipur, Gurugram, and Noida. Their relationship developed over time, with Faizan allegedly exploiting his position of authority to engage in a physical relationship with the victim.

The incident unfolded in the Khajrana police station area, where the victim recounted her acquaintance with Faizan dating back to coaching classes four years ago. She alleged that Faizan, under false promises of marriage, coerced her into relocating and subsequently subjected her to rape after administering intoxicants.

Furthermore, Faizan purportedly recorded photos and videos of the assault, later using them to blackmail the victim. Despite her initial agreement to marry Faizan, their relationship soured as he began pressuring her to convert to Islam. When the victim refused, Faizan resorted to physical violence and threats against her and her family.

The victim, distressed by Faizan’s coercive tactics, sought assistance from members of a Hindu organization, leading to Faizan’s apprehension by authorities. An FIR has been lodged against him under relevant sections pertaining to rape, assault, and intimidation.
