Tragic End to 4-Year Relationship: Muslim Man Allegedly Kills Hindu Woman, a Manager at MNC [Kharar, Punjab, India]

In a harrowing incident that shook the Sunny Enclave area of Kharar in district SAS Nagar, Punjab, a 29-year-old man, identified as Anas Qureshi, allegedly committed a heinous crime in the early hours of 6th April. Reports indicate that Anas brutally stabbed his 27-year-old female friend, Ekta, multiple times, resulting in her untimely demise. The chilling sequence of events unfolded as Anas attempted to flee the scene in Ekta’s car, only to meet with a tragic accident, leaving him critically injured.

The tragedy struck when Ekta returned home late at night from work, while her family was away attending a Jagran event. Anas, reportedly a native of Uttar Pradesh and known to Ekta, followed her to her residence. CCTV footage captured Anas entering and later exiting the house in different attire, raising suspicion. Subsequently, he absconded in Ekta’s car but encountered a calamitous accident near Shahbad, Haryana, approximately 80 kilometers away from the crime scene.

Anas was admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh in critical condition, where he remains under observation. Meanwhile, Ekta’s family received the distressing news of the accident, prompting them to rush back home. Upon entering their residence, they made a horrifying discovery – Ekta’s lifeless body lay in a pool of blood on the first floor, bearing multiple stab wounds to her neck.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Ekta and Anas had been involved in a relationship for four years, initially sparked by their acquaintance at the workplace. However, the relationship had reportedly soured in recent times, with allegations of mental harassment leveled against Anas by Ekta. Despite this tumultuous dynamic, Anas was a familiar face at family events, including Ekta’s brother’s wedding.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities remain vigilant at the hospital, closely monitoring Anas’s condition. Once deemed fit for questioning, Anas will be taken into custody to ascertain the motive behind Ekta’s tragic murder.
